This beautiful Aran sweater is handknitted from 100% Irish yarn wool. This traditional wool is what produced the first Aran sweaters, and the custom endures to this day. It’s spun from thicker material than the newer Merino wool garments, and offers excellent protection against the elements. Wearing this piece ensures you’re wearing a piece of Irish history.
This sweater features the honeycomb stitch, which was the sign of a hard-working bee; and the diamond stitch, a symbol for success and wealth.
